The bulls are put out in May and stay with the cows until September 1st each year (90 day breeding season).  We begin calving in February and are through by May 15th.  The calves are weaned in October, placed on a development ration, weighed and measured, vaccinated, branded and observed for disposition.  We cull deeply each year for excessive navel or sheath leather, poor disposition, difficult calving, unacceptable low growth and weight gains and poor fertility.  Each calf is vaccinated twice, once at weaning and branding and 4 weeks later.  Each animal on our Ranch is vaccinated annually. 

Our health program consists of:
1.  Annual vaccination with Cattle Master gold FP 5
2.  One Shot Ultra (pasturella and black leg and red water)
3.  Haemophilles somonus vaccine
4.  Annual worming with Ivermectin plus
 

WE ARE FULL PARTICIPANTS WITH THE IBBA IN TOTAL HERD REPORTING (THR).  AS SUCH, ALL OFTHE COWS ARE WEIGHED AND MEASURED EACH YEAR AND ALL PERTINANT DATA FOR COWS AND CALVES REGARDING WEIGHTS, HIP HEIGHTS, SCROTAL CIRCUMFERANCES, NAVEL AND SHEATH SCORES, DISPOSITION, BODY CONDITION SCORES AND FRAME SCORES ARE ANNUALLY REPORTED.
